CEEP research affiliate Katherine Cierniak and Anne-Maree Ruddy, CEEP director of education policy and senior research associate, contributed a chapter, "Partnering for new possibilities: The development of a global learning certificate," in the newly published book International Education at Community Colleges: From Optional to Integral (Palgrave Macmillan, New York).
A new edited volume, Inequality in School Discipline (Palgrave/MacMillan), by Russell Skiba, Kavitha Mediratta, and M. Karega Rausch of the Discipline Disparities Collaborative, provides up-to-date and authoritative information on what has been learned from research, data, and practical experience about disciplinary disparities, and the latest findings regarding disparity-reducing approaches. Dr. Skiba is the director of the Equity Project, a consortium of research projects housed at CEEP, and professor in counseling and educational psychology at the IU School of Education.
Nedim Yel, research associate, recently co-authored two articles: "Influence of opportunity to learn indices and education status on students’ mathematics achievement growth" (Remedial and Special Education, 37(5), 144-158) and "Assessing model similarity in structural equation modeling" (Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 23(4), 491-506).
